The skin and the importance of touch
posted by Angelo (Devamito)
The skin is the largest organ in the body. Through it, we can have the experience of touch, one of the incredible 5 senses. Interestingly, we live in a society where impersonality makes us more and more "untouchable beings". Technology, although very welcome, has worsened this issue, further distancing us from each other and placing us more and more in virtual worlds without touch. The tactile experience is super important in all stages of human development, from childhood to adulthood. In these 5 years working with Tantra, with Tantric massage and applying the technique Sensitive Massage, I realized the profound effects of this technique through the feedback of several women I attended, here are some:
- After the session, I came home and felt like hugging my father, who even found the attitude strange, since we are a very religious family and throughout my life we had little physical contact, such as hugging or other displays of affection.
- I was with my daughter and, looking at her, I thought how much I have given her little affection.
- For a few days after the session, I realized that I became more affectionate, more receptive to hugs and hugging people more, something I never did.
I always try to show that my work is not a simple massage, but a complete system of development, which will allow not only the person to develop, but to change the way they relate to other people and the world around them. The skin, the touch or the absence of it and how they affect human development, are subjects that I intend to address in other posts more broadly, because evidently, in a single post I would not be able to.
Sensitive Massage - a technique that extraordinarily stimulates the skin, developing skin sensitivity, the ability to focus on the experience of pleasure in touch, stimulates the production of "substances of pleasure and well-being", such as oxytocin and dopamine, etc.
It is obvious that in times of pandemic we must avoid contact, but soon this difficult moment will pass and then we must use that moment precisely to think about these aspects of life.
