The Revolution of Choice
Tantra for LGBTQIA +
The vast majority of the LGBTQIA + public suffers somewhat more when it comes to sexuality. Internal conflicts and difficulties in day-to-day relationships are a constant. In our current society it is not allowed to be who we are with tranquility, peace, respect and security. The movements still need to be hidden and reserved in order to be safe. We are advancing, but prejudice, intolerance and misinformation are still very great.
All this non-permission and unnaturalness to be who we are, result in even more blocks and traumas related to the sexual life of the homo-affective public. We grow up feeling aberrations, totally disconnected from our bodies, from our pleasure. Without the legitimation of our desires for society, we spend our lives living as inadequate, filling ourselves with guilt. How much energy loss is there?
The lack of sexual education, the knowledge of one's own body, the acceptance of differences and safe spaces to speak and be informed about sexuality, generates many problems at the base of our society, which is made up of relationships. And life is a relationship, we cannot escape it. Most of these problems become obsessions, because we are talking about sexual energy, which is the same vital energy, energy that generates and creates life. If this energy does not flow within each human being in a balanced way, the losses are enormous for each individual itself and for the whole in general. We need to talk about this.
Extremist behaviors such as repression and sexual compulsion bring much suffering. And this is being the main result of our relationships, suffering.
How are we not told to deal with the most powerful energy that inhabits us? This is all very crazy.
The sex taboo contributes to an increase in STIs, physical and psychological abuse in relationships, an increase in cases of depression, anxiety, suicide, etc. It is a subject that almost nobody talks about, but everyone thinks and has some question that they would like to share, to cure. For the homo-affective public, these issues are compounded by even more acute problems of self-esteem, rejection, violence and non-belonging. Who wins what when we silence the subject of sex?
Moving sexual energy in a balanced way for the LGBTQIA + audience is a challenge for few in the community. Freedom of expression, information, unity, respect and acceptance of differences are lacking, even among the members of the community.
Self-knowledge is the key and tantra is a very resolving path. Through sexual energy, which is the same energy that hooks us, holds us, and holds us hostage to the body and our instincts, we can free ourselves and access our most luminous part. For those who are really suffering and want to leave this place, tantric therapy can turn you inside out. In addition to reframing sexual pleasure, expanding the orgasmic capacity of the body and genital region and contributing to the healing of sexual dysfunctions and the release of emotions trapped in the body, tantra invites you to a new look at life, for your body and for sex, a loving look full of presence, connection, sacredness and awareness. The dive in this path can happen through tantric meditations (active), tantric massage, workshops, group experiences for couples and single people, free courses and training in tantric therapy. It is a process of personal development through sexual energy, we can also call it pleasure therapy.
That was my path as a gay man who came out at the age of twenty (in 1998) and fell into hollow for more than a decade. The cure came with the resignification of touch, issues of abuse, self-esteem, sexual compulsion and hiv. Today, for five years working as a tantric therapist and experiencing my sexuality with awareness, I choose the sex life I want to have. This is my revolution. I'm not a hostage anymore.
Is that you? Can you make conscious choices in your sex life? What gives you pleasure and brings you peace at the same time?
