Before you worry, ask yourself if it depends on you

There are so many concerns that surround our minds and we allow them to take away our peace since childhood and throughout our life.
There is so much pressure that we can come to believe that our life is horrible, that we are despicable, that life is a struggle, that it is like that ... This is because of the many worries that torment us.
These are tasks that we must perform perfectly, people that we are compared to all the time, things that we are pressured to like, people that we have to please, personalities that we have to take on, things that don't make sense to us and we have to learn, standards that teach us to follow, expectations to meet, parts of us that we have to repress to feel accepted, titles and assets to be conquered, debts to be paid, status to be achieved ...
So many things. We give in so much, we get used to it, we get into gear and live our lives as society expects us to do.
We are concerned with so many things that are out of our control and that really aren't important. But they taught us that they are. And not fulfilling all the obligations that we think we need, generates enormous harm. Sufferings of sickening the soul, the mind, the physical and emotional body.
There is so much damage caused by not knowing how to maintain inner peace by things caused externally, by things that do not depend on us. Due to the fear we have, we build an ego, which is very upset with the view of others about it. Who can't discern what really matters or doesn't. The ego is afraid of losing the acceptance and admiration of the other, of being seen as irresponsible, of being pointed out as the one who made mistakes, who is misfits, who is out of the standard ...
On page 155 of the Osho book, Courage - The pleasure of living courageously, it is written: “The ego always comes from fear. A truly fearless person has no ego. The ego is a protection, an armor. As you are afraid, it creates an impression around you that you are like this and roasted, this and that, you know? So nobody dares to hurt you, other than that, it's basically fear. Great! You look into it deeply and directly. And once you see the root cause, things start to get very simple. If not, people continue to fight with the ego - and the ego is not the real problem. If you fight with the ego, you are fighting a symptom, not the real disease. The real disease is fear. You can keep fighting with the ego and you will find the donkeys in the water, because the ego is not the real enemy, it is a fake. Even if you win, you won’t actually win anything. And you can't even win - only a real enemy can be won, not a fake enemy that doesn't even exist. It is a facade. It's like you have an ugly wound and put some embellishments on it to make it look better. ”
May we be able to meet, get to know each other, overcome our fears and truly internalize that it is not worth worrying, consuming ourselves with something that nothing depends on us, the loss of peace, and all the evils that worries cause us.
If it is something we can solve, or help, let us do it wisely.
If we make mistakes, that we can notice as much as possible and take advantage of the learning to not make mistakes again, nor remain in the error. May we know how to forgive ourselves and move on.
And if we can do nothing in the face of something that is totally independent of us, let us know how to focus our attention, thoughts and energy on productive and positive things and not on things that will only consume us with no use.
If something does not depend on you, if there is nothing you can do to improve, drop it.
Lots of light for you!
