How to reduce Stress?
How can Tantric Therapy help?
Imagine an iron rod being twisted. The tension in the bar, before leaving, is called by physicists "stress". In the human being, it is characterized by changes in the organism, manifesting itself in the physical body and emotions.
In 1965, Hans Selye used the term "stress" to describe the state of tension in the organism, when subjected to an agent that threatens its integrity. He called this fight or flight reaction, general adaptation syndrome.
This effort was aimed at neutralizing the stressor. The disease would arise due to a failure of the system to adapt the body's defense mechanisms.
Diseases caused by social stress depend on the nature, intensity and duration of the situation, in addition to hereditary tendencies and the individual's first life experiences.
Stress interferes in the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System, responsible for the balance of the organism. They make up the Autonomic or Neurovegetative Nervous System, which controls the heartbeat, the contraction or relaxation of the stomach and the secretion of the stomach mucous glands. They also act on the functional structure of the sexual organs and the sexual response mechanisms.
Stress is the result of a reaction that our body has when stimulated by unfavorable external factors. The first thing that happens to our body in these circumstances is an adrenaline rush and the most affected organs are the circulatory and respiratory systems.
In the circulatory system, adrenaline promotes an acceleration of heart beats (tachycardia) and a decrease in the size of peripheral blood vessels. Thus, blood circulates more quickly for better oxygenation, mainly of the muscles and the brain, since there is little blood left on the periphery, which also reduces bleeding in case of superficial injuries.
In the respiratory system, adrenaline promotes the dilation of the bronchi (bronchodilation) and induces an increase in respiratory movements (tachypnea), so that there is greater uptake of oxygen, which will be more quickly transported by the circulatory system, also properly prepared by adrenaline.
When the danger passes, our organism stops the huge adrenaline production and everything goes back to normal. In today's world, situations are not that simple and danger and aggression have become a constant threat. Therefore, the body's reaction to a stressful factor is tachycardia, pallor, sweating and wheezing. There may also be an uncontrolled blood pressure, causing an increase in pressure at very high levels, which does not always mean that the person is hypertensive.
At Tantric Therapy, we offer all the conditions for you to get out of the stress you are in, eliminating its consequent harmful effects. The dynamics and exercises that are proposed in individual or group work work efficiently in the dissolution of negative stress.
