Cultivating love: the gift of resilience
posted by Deva Karuno
Be divine, know that you are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually stronger than you can imagine. You have an inner resilience that is always there for you, waiting to be awakened.
Take time each day to connect with your higher self, your soul, the essence of who you really are. This is your place of origin, of very deep inner knowledge, of wisdom and purely infinite strength. This force comes from your own life force, pulsing through your being.
I challenge you to remember a situation in the past that you survived and learned from, a situation that connected you to your inner sovereignty. Remember an experience that was challenging, but you still managed to overcome it. Know and trust that what helped you in the past will lead you to all other situations that may arise. You can even say, "That will pass, too," because we never get more than we can handle.
We have all experienced trauma in our lives. I have mine and my inner resilience helped me in situations that I was not sure I could survive that. That inner strength can be harnessed, if you know and trust that it is there, ready for you when the time comes.
Of course, it is also essential to allow ourselves to feel everything we need to feel. The ability to embrace your emotions and respond to them will help you become more connected, confident, at peace and strengthened. Sometimes we have to dive deep into ourselves to make essential changes in our lives - to be willing to change, to let go of what needs to go, to do whatever is asked of us.
It all starts with self-pity. Let go of your internal critic, be more loving to yourself and know that you are doing the best you can. We have a very active mind, be aware of thoughts that are unpleasant to the Self and see how you can replace negative self-talk and attract positive, loving thoughts instead.
Remember, nothing can take the untouchable divine strength from your inner Self.
Nothing can really hurt you at the level of your soul. Living with this knowledge, you will feel empowered and able to deal with anything that comes your way. Part of the journey to truly connect with your inner strength and resilience is to treat yourself with love and compassion, as you would a small child.
Another important aspect of internal resilience is the willingness to be vulnerable, which in fact - perhaps unexpectedly - is another of its superpowers. When you allow yourself to be vulnerable, you can ask for (and receive) the support you need, whether by reaching out to a friend or a therapist. Cultivate supportive relationships in your life. Find your tribe.
Remember to breathe. Breathing carefully calms the nervous system and invites you to be present. It helps you create more space and balance yourself again. When you are in this calm inner place, you will make the right decisions and know that you have the inner resilience to face any challenges that arise in your life.
