Ego and power, how to work this and be able to start a process of liberation?

In my walk as a therapist, I have seen how ego and power go hand in hand. It is a very fine line that separates both. So tenuous that an individual's lack of awareness of himself can bring a total “blindness” to the individual, be it spiritual, mental or emotional.

Let's take an example. If the person is a vegetarian, it is clear and notorious that he eats only fruits and vegetables and defends not consuming animal-based foods. Score. So far so good. From the moment that she believes she is superior to the other who is not a vegetarian, because she is a vegetarian, she fell into the trap of the spiritual and mental ego.

Let's take another example. A person who is a tantra practitioner advocates the use of active meditations to activate, expand, enhance sexual energy in the body and achieve altered states of consciousness and perception. Score. When she believes she is superior to someone who does not practice tantra, because she experiences it, she has fallen into the trap of the spiritual ego.

It is clear that this is a fine line, as it is a movement that brings pleasure, desire and an intention to share with as many people as possible. Social networks are the main platforms for spreading this today.

But what should be a digital means of sharing ideas, often ends up being a means of dissemination in some cases of fights, insults and offensive speeches that do more harm to the individual than good.

And then, the ego will once again operate affirming what is most important to it: your opinion. Having said that, I am not saying that the person cannot express his opinion. But on an unconscious level the ego does not like to be challenged, censored, "humiliated".

A divergent criticism or point of view against that statement whatever it is is an insult and humiliation to the ego. And he will react aggressively, because on an unconscious level he says to himself: “who is this person to challenge me?” or "how superior is she to telling me what to do?"

According to Osho, the individual with a high level of ego - or selfish - believes that his power is measured in the number of people he interferes with. It does not matter whether this interference is good or bad. He just wants to know how many lives he intervenes in, interferes with and dominates.

This domain generates in him an “air of superiority”, an illusory feeling that he is superior to others from the point that he interferes. Be it at the company's CiPAT, be it as a manager of a private company, or be the manager of an investment fund, or as a representative of the people - a politician - or any public office.

Given this, how to work this? How to deconstruct something that has been built up over the years and years and that has often generated a “positive” reinforcement of what the ego understands as recognition?

The fact that the other does not agree with your point of view on something it can only be seen as equal because you have initiated the sincere desire to bring light into your ego shadows.
