Explanations about sexual energy

For humans, the body and its functioning has always been something fascinating, there are many theories to explain the process between life and death. Some believe that all strength is in our blood, others assume that the chi force is the life force essential to life, but they say little about the energy that brought us into this world, sexual energy.

In Tantra we consider this energy to be fundamental, both physically and energetically.

We Tantrikas believe that our vital energy, the Kundalini-Shakti represented by a coiled serpent, when awakened, unfolds and goes up chakra by chakra, towards the crown at the top of the head, where it hopes to find Shiva descending to meet it. As this energy unfolds, awakening takes place, when Shakti unites with Shiva, the divine consciousness, the result is enlightenment and bliss.

For us mind, body and spirit are connected and active in every aspect of our lives, which is why conflicts arise because most theories tend to separate the body from the spirit and end up confusing sexual energy with a shallow sexuality that is limited to provide children and quick sensations in their genitals.

The fact is, the sexual energy present in our second Swadhisthana chakra has power for so much more! The most creative of all three lower chakras provides the impetus for conceiving all your dreams and desires, and is related to your creative power and control over the outer world.

In the face of so much misdirected power, it is easy to understand why the world is full of sexual abuse that ranges from incest, rape and sexual assault to more discreet ways such as breaking our personal boundaries and the vulnerability of our intimacy. Constant criticism of creative efforts is also a form of violation from an energy point of view; those who grow up hearing that they are not going to get anywhere will certainly develop reproductive problems and economic difficulties in the future.

Money is a relevant factor when it comes to sexual energy, in this case the economic aspects have to do with relationships and power. Have you ever noticed how people feel sexier when they make more money and less when they lose it?

Shame is also a power-related problem, our shame and shame about sex stem from the authoritative voices spread throughout our past.

All these figures exercise considerable control over our lives, as it was not possible to disobey them without facing serious consequences. The fear of being discovered doing anything of a sexual nature can unconsciously persist and wreak havoc on the natural expression of our energy. And since we talked about power, do you understand now why people carry their weapons near their sex center?

Physically, prostate cancer, impotence, ovarian cancer, premature ejaculation, anorgasmia, urinary disorders and other disorders are the result of so much imbalance.
