Intimate hygiene of women
posted by Agni Maharani (Tina)
The principle of intimate hygiene is all about women's health. It is necessary to get the daily care right, taking care not to be overly or unhygienic.
It is recommended neutral soaps and preferably glycerin-based to wash the intimate area, highly scented soaps or one that is exposed in the soap box can cause some change in the vaginal flora, leading to the proliferation of microorganisms that cause disease.
When washing the vagina you should lather the vulva (outside of the vagina) very well, this includes the large and small lips and the entire body of the clitoris. There is no need to wash internally, this keeps the pH balanced and the vagina is a “self-cleaning” organ.
Never forget to rinse and dry the area well, the old and famous cotton panties are our ally and when possible the ideal is to let our vagina breathe, without any clothes.
Do not use the vaginal shower on your own, only if there is a need and under the guidance of your gynecologist.
Wet wipes and scented toilet paper are also not welcome, they can cause irritation and overuse can cause dryness, just use them in dire need.
Daily protectors are not recommended for a routine, the health of the vagina needs simple care, if you need a protector because of discharge or urinary incontinence for example look for a specialist to treat and dispense with the use of the protector.
Do the preventive annually, talk to your gynecologist, prevention is simple, uncomplicated.
