Professional Tantric Massage: What to Expect?
posted by Deva Karuno
When it comes to sexual energy, it's easy to get confused and misguided if we don't have the right knowledge. There are many people promoting themselves as tantra teachers and spreading misleading information. That's why it's worth giving some clarity on professional tantra services. At the outset, you have to know that Tantra is not about sex, but about spiritual growth and development. Professional tantric massage sessions never include sexual activities, sex or kissing. So that you do not fall into abuse, I decided to write this article. It will give some clarity on the tantric massage service and what it should be like (at least what I believe).
First, I want to highlight the main qualities to call the professional tantric session. In a tantric massage session, it is most important to feel safe when entering the massage room and to feel that you can be yourself at all times.
They say Tantra is about being open
People new to Tantra often hear that it's about being open and being in constant flux, feeling passionate about life, etc. Yes indeed, if you participate in tantric practices, you will release certain blocks and open yourself to the world.
To get there, it takes time and the process usually takes place over a longer period. Being and feeling safe on this path does not mean an obligation to be sexually involved with other people. In fact, there is nothing in Tantra that you are obligated to do unless you want to.
open sexuality
The phrase “being open” is literally understood by people as being sexually open. This is obviously a wrong approach, which leads to the generation of a lot of sexual trauma rather than the healing process.
By the way, not only do people not connected with Tantra say that one is tantric as someone who is sexually open to other people, but also many schools and teachers of Tantra promote open sexuality as a main quality of Tantra. This is why many beginners after listening to a certain type of Tantra experts start by pushing their sexual boundaries and experimenting with sexuality, thinking that they are practicing Tantra. This is, of course, a very misunderstanding of Tantra. The original common traditional practices do not involve sex or intimacy.
Limits during professional tantra massage session
Before the professional tantric massage session is given, the recipient's boundaries are set, so that he or she receives the service according to personal limits. For example, this could mean you just want a soft touch, you don't want to be touched in some parts unless your feeling about it changes during the session.
This means that all personal preferences, including the type of touch and also the places where we don't want to be touched, are discussed before the session starts. This gives the person receiving the massage the ability to fully relax and surrender to the process.
This gives comfort and security for healing to take place. In the professional tantric massage service you always receive the massage according to the limits, so there is no room for surprises or flexible limits during the session.
Professional tantra practitioners do not engage sexually with the client.
A professional tantric practitioner would never become sexually involved during a massage session. This occurs naturally when people talk about normal massage therapists, but it is also true of tantric massages. Tantric massage is not related to sex and is not a sexual service, which means it is not about giving sexual pleasure to one another.
It is the massage itself that charges you with vital energy, often referred to as sexual energy, to connect more deeply to your inner self. The real task of tantric therapists is to give you the opportunity and space to experience your own energy.
This is also the reason there is no sexual interaction, because the therapist is a space holder for their session, which means the therapist is more in a meditative energy state. In this way, a tantra session helps to purify and cleanse from different obstacles in a safe and deep way. It includes the practice of meditation and working with energies.
So what to expect...
· Pleasant and clear communication before, during and after the massage to get a good feeling about the therapist
· Direct answers to questions you may have
· Feeling safe during the session: note that there may be feelings of fear, abundance or anger during a tantric massage that are part of the natural cleansing process, but when established boundaries are not respected, immediately stop the session or communicate what you feel
A professional tantric massage is a highly complicated technique, so not everyone has the right qualifications to perform it. As Tantra is confused with sex, it is worth reading more about the service offered before going for the professional tantric massage session. You need to be sure what the mission of the space is and what the background of tantric therapists is. Keep in mind that there are many erotic services covered under the name of tantra.
