Meditation for beginners
posted by Lorena
Meditation is a tool that has very ancient origins, is rooted in eastern traditions such as Buddhism and Hinduism, and is currently very successful among western people as a way to be present in the here and now.
Meditation is a technique that allows you to lead the mind to a state of relaxation and calm, reducing anxiety, stress and insomnia.
When we think of meditation, the image of a person sitting in the lotus flower position with a calm, peaceful face and head without thinking about anything comes to mind. The technique is accessible, and you can incorporate it into your routine in many ways. When we meditate, we end up relaxing and quieting the mind and creating internal tools to deal with the stress issues that may arise in everyday life, influencing our emotions in a negative way.
In this text, I will bring a brief explanation of some meditations present in everyday life and you can choose one meditation or try them all and see which one “fits” your way. Remembering that, whenever possible, revisit the other meditations, you can be surprised just as I was surprised!
Mindfulness meditation is a full meditation technique. The practice can be adopted by anyone and aims to train the mind to be focused on the present, just a few minutes to pause and manage emotions. The purpose of this meditation is to focus on the present through breathing without false judgments.
Active Meditation are techniques created to slow down people who have a contemporary rhythm of life, it is a way of organizing the mind in chaos, in the midst of disorder. The active meditation techniques were structured by Osho, an Indian master.
Osho meditations are a chaotic method, necessary to push the center of consciousness from the mind to the heart. This is the most used practice within my work.
Hoponopono meditation is a Hawaiian practice that participants believe has healing power. The name means to clean what does not serve, the purpose of this meditation is to bring responsibility and forgiveness for the acts performed. Mantras are used at different times, four sequential phases: I'm sorry, forgive me, I love you, I'm grateful. The idea of healing is associated with memories of pain, trauma, conditioning and limiting beliefs. The word I'm sorry is to absorb the situation that happened (it can be with yourself or with the other, forgive me is the desire to purify what happened, I love you is to recognize the inner light in yourself and in the other.

That is, meditation can help you in many ways, I hope that now you can allow yourself to experience this experience and adopt it in your daily life. To meditate you don't need much, we can meditate throughout the day, at work, through physical exercise, preparing food, dancing or singing. Everything you do can be a meditation, just exercise mindfulness on what you are doing in the present moment. Try it when preparing or eating that food that you like so much with presence, noticing the colors, the smell, the aroma, the flavor, feeling the nuance of flavors through the taste buds. On my profile, there are a series of texts about the senses with some exercises to do for free! How about starting now?
Any questions, know that you can count on me!
