Tantric therapy is for whom?

Many people end up associating the word tantra with sexual practices. It is very simple and quick to make this association, just search the internet and various information appears: learn to have tantric sex, tantric practices that prolong erection, increase the genital organ, promote various orgasms! Wow! A lot, right? But does it really do all that? I can say that some can improve with therapy, but that's not all…
What is Tantra? The word Tantra has some meanings, Tan-which means expansion and
Tra-que means liberation, it also means weaving, weft, so the word takes us to the web of life. Tantra has roots in India and is vast, has many aspects and expressions such as Shivaism of Kashmir, Vajrayana Buddhism and the vision of Master Osho. Tantra aims to expand consciousness and achieve liberation and/or enlightenment through Kundalini energy.
Osho is an Indian spiritual master who brought an affirmative Tantric view of life, rooted in meditation, the celebration of existence and acceptance. A vision that embraces the entire human experience, from sex to supraconsciousness. Most of my work is based on Osho's teachings and practices.
I really like to share with you, my experience in therapy, of course I always cherish the confidentiality of the cases I attend, but as a therapist I also live the experience and learn together with you! Some people end up looking for tantric therapy generally as the last option to solve a case or because a friend, colleague, wife or husband has seen on the internet that it can work, or knows someone who has experienced and improved through that therapy.
It becomes the last option precisely because talking about sexuality is still a great taboo for our society, which has its roots rooted in three pillars which are patriarchy, social and religious conditions. We miss the opportunity to look at our sexuality in a natural and authentic way. When something is considered taboo, it is challenging to even talk to those who are closest and intimate, and in this scenario the internet wins the turn because it is much simpler to search for something that you are curious about than to talk to someone else. Of course, the rule does not apply to everyone. Reflect on which of these people you represent at that moment.
After all, who is tantric therapy for? For those who want to live a fuller and more present life. It is difficult for someone to experience the transcendence of sex, without a full, conscious and natural experience before, in addition to all the guilt, repression, guilt, shame that was cultivated by patriarchy and social and religious conditions. Tantric Therapy gives us tools to purify our thoughts, emotions and beliefs. It is a conscious way of life that expands our connection with other beings. It brings us the sacred vision of what a union is, of what it is to relate through consciousness.
