Treat the person, not the disease - Floral Therapy
The disease, according to the flower essence philosophy, is the result of the conflict that arises when the personality (the own and particular characteristics that define a person) refuses to maintain the evolutionary pattern desired by the Soul (Spiritual or Higher Self). As long as our souls and personalities are in harmony, everything will be happiness, peace and health (BACH, 1990). Illness is, in itself, beneficial, and aims to lead the personality back to the Divine Will of the Soul; in this way, we can see that it is preventable and remediable, for if we could realize for ourselves the mistakes we have made and correct them through mental and spiritual resources, there would be no need to go through the harsh lessons of suffering. Every opportunity is afforded us by the Divine Power to correct our ways before, as a last resort, pain and suffering must be applied. It is the method adopted by our own Soul to bring us to the path of understanding (BACH, 1990).
The real fundamental diseases of man are defects such as pride, cruelty, hatred, selfishness, ignorance, instability and ambition. Pride is the inability to accept that all of life's victories are not merits of your personality, but a blessing from the Divinity Within. Cruelty is an inability to understand that every adverse action towards the other is in opposition to the Whole and is, therefore, an action contrary to the Unity. Hatred is a denial of the Creator; it only leads to thoughts contrary to the act of loving. Selfishness, on the other hand, makes us put our personal interests before the well-being of humanity, the affection and protection that we should dedicate to those closest to us. Ignorance is the failure to learn, the refusal to see the Truth when given the opportunity to do so, and it leads to many wrongdoings. Instability occurs when the personality refuses to be ruled by the Higher Self, causing us to betray others because of our weakness. Ambition leads to the desire for power – defects that are the real diseases (BACH, 1990).
To alleviate the suffering of the physical body, it is necessary to promote the transformation of selfishness into altruism, that is, an attitude of love for others or the absence of selfishness. If we consciously practice the Law of Love with all those around us, rejoicing in the glorious mission of helping others without expecting anything in return, our sorrows, frustrations and sufferings will quickly end. This is the great aim of life: the loss of our own interests in the service of humanity. With firmness we must walk forward and forward, never looking back, but looking to the glorious future with its bright light that is always ahead of us (BACH, 1990). The real causes of illness are: controlling others, fear, restlessness, indecision, indifference, weakness of character, doubt, over-enthusiasm, ignorance, impatience, terror, sadness.
The Soul is your true Inner Self, Higher Self, Divine Human Being: true wisdom comes from within ourselves, through our silent communication with the Soul. Our Soul is that inner voice 16 17 that guides us through our intuition, our instincts, our desires, our ideals, our likes and dislikes. That is why it is important to listen to our Soul, because it is responsible for our well-being. We shouldn't pay so much attention to what others think of our actions. The more we free ourselves from external influences, the more our Soul will be strengthened and will guide us to our life mission. (BACH, 2014; BACH, 1990)
