An affection for your body

The body is such a wonderful instrument that it allows us to live this experience of matter. It is so incredible that we can feel countless sensations through it. Realize how much it is too much to be able to see, hear, feel touches, sensations and vibrations, breathe and smell odors, feel the most diverse flavors ...
On page 180 of the book The women's book, in an excerpt from an Osho speech, says: “Tantra teaches reverence to the body, love and respect for the body, gratitude to the body. The body is wonderful. It is the greatest of all mysteries. ”
Our body deserves all of our care and attention, whether in the way we treat it and allow it to be treated by others, or in the way we nourish it through the food, emotions and vibrations we feel and emit, through love and affection we give him, personal hygiene and well-being care, the relationships we get involved in and how we use the body to feel pleasure.
It is worth observing if our body is being exalted and valued, being considered sacred or a source of sins, if we place it in situations of love and respect or if we allow it to be objectified, if we submit it to changes imposed by standards of beauty, or if the we accept and seek to take care of your health, etc.
On page 22 of the book: The book of your life, there is the following excerpt from an Osho speech in which he talks about the body: “Your body does not deserve your condemnation, but your gratitude, because it is the greatest thing in life, the most miraculous; the way it works is just unbelievable. All parts of your body work like an orchestra. Your eyes, your hands, your legs are in a kind of inner communion. ”
Today I want to propose an ode to your body and invite you to thank for every sensation, for the existence of every part of it, with all the love you can:
Breathe in and out deeply, and pay attention to each part of your body and thank immensely for the existence of each one.
Feel your feet and thank them for their existence and for everything they do for you.
Feel your ankles, shins and calves and thank them with all your love.
Give thanks for your knees and your thighs.
Put awareness on your hips and give thanks for your glutes, internal organs, sexual organs, perineum and anus. Thank you immensely for the good functioning of your organism.
Thank for your chest, back, thank for your lungs and heart. Visualize each part calmly and give thanks with affection.
Give thanks for your shoulders, arms and hands. Realize how many incredible sensations and how much work they allow you to develop and give thanks. Remember the feeling of a hug and be thankful.
Feel your neck, your head, and give thanks for your eyes, mouth, nose and ears. Thank for your brain stem (where all the branches for the organs, for the muscles, for the skin come from, responsible for a lot of connections, that makes your heart beat, that you breathe, that everything that is autonomous in you function). Thank for your limbic brain (where your history and all its learned ways of functioning in the world are stored). Give thanks for your cerebral cortex (which we can learn to use more and more, becoming masters of ourselves, being able to actually use free will).
Give thanks for each neural connection, for each cell, for each organ, for each molecule. Thank for your DNA, for the ancestry that produced this body.
Give thanks for your skin and for everything you can feel through it.
Give thanks for the energy centers in your body and for all the energy you can produce with it.
Really feel that gratitude for every little bit of yourself and fill yourself with all the beautiful feelings that this gratitude brings you. Enjoy it!
