A tantric meditation to intensify your love life
posted by Deva Karuno
If you like spirituality, meditation, you have probably heard of Tantra. Many people are now turning to Tantra and adopting this practice as a lifestyle.
Now imagine something that is within your reach to enjoy and can help you grow in some way. In essence, Tantra is a practice that combines movement, breathing, meditation and sound, to help the Chakra energy system within the body to open. This opening allows the sleeping energy, known as Kundalini, to rise from the pelvis, along the spine. The movement of this vital energy can help you heal, by loosening the tightness within the body that has developed throughout life. The expansion of the energetic body also increases sensations, clairvoyance and the ability to connect with other people.
For many people, it is this expanded ability to connect with a partner that attracts them to Tantra. But in addition to the obvious benefits of improving your sex life, Tantra practices can also expand the energetic body towards its true purpose. In short, it is good to practice Tantra and the side benefits of expanded orgasms keep people coming back.
But you don't necessarily jump straight into expanded orgasms when you start Tantra practice, and it's okay, everything is a process. Each new skill starts small, with the basics! Smooth movements and breathing techniques to balance your energies are pleasant in themselves, as you travel the tantric path.
Even more basic are the meditations that guide you to move energy up and down your spine and expand your body's energy centers. With a regular practice of just 5 minutes a day, gradually adding time as you go, Tantra becomes available for all physical skills. Most people who want it can find the time to fit this into their daily routine.
Below is a meditation that increases energy and invites the energy centers along the spine to open. Even if you don't have an intimate relationship with anyone other than yourself, these meditations offer valuable benefits.
This meditation technique opens the crown chakra (top of the head) and the third eye chakra (middle of the forehead) to receive divine energy. It also activates an energy circuit up and down the spine, opening consciousness to the sky, while maintaining a connection to Earth.
Look for a comfortable position. Feel your hips at the base of your pelvis and your legs touching the pillow and the floor below you. If you are sitting in a chair, feel your feet on the floor. Breathe in and stretch your spine. Imagine a rope pulling the top of your head towards the sky. Exhale and reach the tailbone towards the Earth, while maintaining this spine length. You can imagine that your tailbone is a main root, connecting with the heart of the Earth. Keep your chin parallel to the floor. Continue to breathe easily and naturally.
Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth and imagine a golden ball just above your eyebrows, in the center of your forehead (your third eye). Inhale through your nose, roll the ball over the top of your head (crown), go down your spine to your tailbone, intoning the word "hang" in your mind.
Exhale through the nose, rolling the ball back down the spine, over the head to the forehead (third eye), and intone "out" when inhaling.
This song means: "I am that" or "I am".
By chanting this mantra, you are putting your True Self in common with the Earth and the Divine. Start by doing this practice for five minutes daily and add more time each time you sit down, increasing to 20 minutes each day.
