cytolytic vaginitis
posted by Agni Maharani (Tina)
Also called scaly inflammatory vaginitis, a type of voluminous, profuse vaginal discharge. The secretion increases day by day, affecting the woman's quality of life.
This discharge is similar to that of candidiasis, but it has some important differences. The disease is not caused by bacteria, fungi or protozoa, but arises from non-infectious causes.
Your symptoms are:
. Very voluminous discharge, almost a “menstruation” in a milky appearance, with a yellow or grayish color.
. Burning, a lot of pain in sexual intercourse, vaginal irritability.
. Unusual and unnoticed smell.
Cytolytic vaginitis is the result of the disordered proliferation of lactobacilli, the most abundant bacteria in the vagina. They produce lactic acid in quantity and thus make the vagina more acidic than normal. Many women are misdiagnosed and treated as complicated candidiasis. Discharge is a result of hyperacidity of the vagina, common in women of reproductive age and is not contagious.
What promotes the end of symptoms are vaginal creams based on hydrocortisone or clindamycin.
Look for your doctor in case of symptoms, he will correctly prescribe the time and form of use of the treatment.
