Tantric Education

by Lukas Sato, founder of Tantric Education

I am a dreamer and I feel that the ability to dream is closely linked to an internal attitude that promotes human development. It is a futuristic point on the line of life that requires us to make the necessary moves to achieve it today. The journey towards fulfillment usually involves accessing our healings, getting out of illusions, escapes, fears, suffering and masks and taking responsibility for being yourself.

In this sense, I believe it is important to have a posture of self-discovery and self-knowledge, seeking to understand our limits and potential, working to develop our capacity to face life's challenges in a courageous and positive way. The journey can be difficult and challenging, but it is through it that we learn and transform. I believe that this transformation is fundamental so that we can live our lives fully, anchored in the purposes of the soul.

Currently, I see that the ability to think and act inventively needs to be in harmony with reality. After all, there is no point in living in a world of fantasies, because in real life, which occurs daily, we need to adapt to the situations that arise and not just follow our imaginary desires. Can you see the grandeur of this movement?

And that's what happened to me: the answers to my concerns came through exploring the therapeutic path, based on the body and the tantric method. Gradually, I was getting rid of the ego games, where I wanted to change the world, and I discovered that I have no intention of changing the social status quo, because I need to focus on what I can really do, which is my inner work. Gandhi talks about this:

"Be the change you want to see in the world"

From this internal analysis, I began to develop the tantric vision of awakening great human potential and realized that education is the necessary movement we need to make towards personal and, consequently, social transformation. This is a vision based on the teachings of the great and necessary Paulo Freire.

Tantric Education is based on four fundamental pillars: safety, respect, ethics and consent. These pillars are essential to offer the practitioner the possibility of exploring the connection between body, emotions and the paths of the heart, which is spirituality, autonomously and consciously, that is, the tantric educator puts itself at the service of human transformation, creating a safe and welcoming environment for learning to be built through first-hand experience, creating a favorable field for internal reflection, valuing the subjectivity and uniqueness of each individual, respecting their differences and seeking to understand their specific demands. In this way, the tantric educator seeks to promote the integral development of the participants, stimulating self-knowledge, self-transformation and the awakening of consciousness.

Tantra: contextualization.

The work we promote through tantric education at the Aos Caminhos school has as its ideal the rescue of the worldview of the tantric tradition, which is broad and very deep. We consider Tantra as a system of support and development of human life, which contemplates both physical and spiritual reality, without denying any aspect of life to the detriment of others. For Tantra, everything is part of a single consciousness.

During your bodily, mental, emotional and spiritual development, you have probably heard the word "Tantra". However, it is common to associate it only with practices, games or experiences related to human sexuality, in particular, sex, which is one of the forms of manifestation of our sexuality. I am not here to judge or berate you for these thoughts and perhaps actions. Instead, I propose a cognitive organization through theory so that you can get rid of any preconceptions you may have about Tantra, regardless of how much knowledge you believe you have about it. As I usually say: unidentify when entering. In this way, it is possible to establish a safe, responsible and ethical environment for body experience. It is in this place that tantric alchemy flourishes.

It is important to study the history of Tantra to promote an integration between tantric philosophy and the Tantric Educator, generating more confidence and preventing you from spreading false information. Furthermore, knowledge about Tantra can help you grow as a person and expand your understanding of the world. It is essential to put aside the misleading conceptions about Tantra and understand it as it is. This requires a process of letting go of our own expectations and visions, which are often affected by our hurt personal history. Although challenging, this process provides us with a solid foundation for understanding the human difficulties involved in the process we call life. My goal is for you to get closer to the tantric essence, allowing your horizons to expand, without making you an inaccessible person who believes he has all the wisdom in his hands.
