The first time I heard about Tantra was from a friend from college. I vaguely remember some concepts and how she made sure she could feel pleasure by rubbing her arm with her boyfriend's. In the midst of discovering my sexuality, it seemed pure bullshit.

A decade later, I paid R $ 400 (this is the average price for about 2 hours) to try to find out what Tantra is. It was two weeks ago, months after the idea hit me. On the one hand, I had obvious curiosity, given the comments that it is possible to have 15 orgasms in a row (ok, on the internet, you can read everything). On the other hand, as Tantra presupposes, I tried to resolve some of my blocks when it came to reaching an orgasm. I wanted a new experience, to know my body without having to interact or satisfy someone in return. I was looking for a sex therapist.

Explaining Tantra is no easy task. Over the years, this Hindu philosophy, which regards the body as a means of self-knowledge, has absorbed many teachings that have dissolved a unique definition. In some cases, it was popularized in simple sex sessions, and in others, it was mixed with other disciplines such as Taoism or yoga.

In essence, what I learned and report here to you, is Tantra as a therapy that uses tactile stimuli to enhance the natural energy of our body. This bioenergy is the way to experience new sensations of pleasure that, in addition to orgasms, open a path in our way of perceiving.

In Tantra, we talk about difficult concepts such as “reaching the transcendental state of the union of male and female principles in its propagation to infinity”, but also that it is an experiential philosophy, not contained in books, and unique for each person .

The first step is the challenge of choosing a suitable place and / or therapist. I knew a Tantra center in São Paulo that offered various types of massages, for beginners and advanced. The method is divided into four levels, specific for men and women.

I opted for one that mixes two things. I started with the basic massage, called Sensitive, mixed with Yoni Massage, focused on the genital organ. To choose the one that fits you, the best way is to talk to the person who will assist you (usually a woman in the case of men and a man in the case of women, therefore of polarity).

The center I chose is called Metamorphosis, with therapists spread across the country (Metamorphosis Center). The therapies are based on the Deva Nishok method, which understands Tantra as a way to heal dysfunctions, change sexual patterns and overcome limitations and difficulties in sexuality. Specifically refuses to be interpreted as a masturbatory method (and, let's face it, we already do it at home).

Ufa. It seems too heavy, but simplifying would be unfair. And there I went.

For someone who cannot imagine being touched so intimately by a stranger, a massage called sensory is recommended. Simply put, it consists of a caressing session with your fingertips all over your body. It is the door, they say, to your chakras and your bioenergy. I was opening a way of communication with him. I had my first orgasm at five minutes.

In half a minute he was moaning again. We were now inside, not forgetting all that outer skin, newly discovered, but focused much deeper. I had already touched and stimulated him millions of times, I was also able to enjoy with a partner, but, again, the non-sexual way he had to touch it was different from what I had already experienced.
In fact, even when we masturbate, we are guided by the movements and rhythms that our sexual experiences have taught us. It is difficult for a man to masturbate without trying to imitate with his fingers what he would like to do with his dick. Not that it doesn't taste good, but being able to forget the patterns and listen to the body today seems like a magic trick. Sex is fabulous, but it involves so many things that sometimes, mechanically, we forget that the nature of the experience is different. That it is about two bodies getting to know each other.

This stimulation was so intense that I was unable to deal with it and was unable to come. I think I found one of my blocks there, the fear of losing control. I leave for the end the report that, during all this experience, I did not stop crying. I acknowledge that it may sound like a joke. But it was not a pity, it was neither pain nor shame. It looks like it's normal, he told me. I cried once in my entire life having an orgasm and felt it released tons of unresolved tensions.

That session of pleasure and tears wiped me out. I felt ashamed for not reacting with the normal groans to that ritual, but I also felt that it was just me.

As I write these lines, I wonder if anyone will think that the Tantra experience is not far from prostitution. In reality, you pay for someone to give you pleasure. And I was the first to warn about such a dilemma. But, I insist, that for me was not sex, it was the key to a greater knowledge than my body and I are capable of feeling.

And the best part: I have faced traffic jams, ugly faces and requests from bosses for days with the slightest memory of that wave of intense pleasure. What I experienced reminds me of what I am capable of feeling, and leads me, immediately, to thank you for being alive.
